Running away from a problem, or problems, never solved anything. It didn't fix the problem, but it didn't make it any worse. In some cases, anyway. He didn't run to get away from all his problems. He ran because... well, because there didn't seem to be any point in sticking around. That, and he needed to think things over away from all the chaos that seemed to surround the Nozomi lands. It was just one thing after another, and he didn't need it to add on to his own problems. He got away simply just to think with a clear head and with no distractions.
Unfortunately, things still weren't solved. He was still unsure of what to do and what he wanted to do. Was he supposed to stay or was he supposed to go? Did he love her or did he hate her? Well, he knew the answer to that last question; sort of. He didn't hate her in any way, but he didn't love her and that just wasn't right. If you loved someone, you'd know it at all times, even if you were angry with them. That didn't seem to be the case with Kaige. If this was how he felt at the moment, did that mean he never really loved her? He didn't know and quite frankly, he didn't feel like dwelling on the problem at that moment.
Why had he come back if he didn't know? Truthfully, he had nothing else to do and nowhere else to go. He could have taken back his loner ways, but for some odd reason, he didn't feel like it. He felt that he needed some sort of companionship, even if it was just a quick chat with another wolf. He wondered about his children, knowing well enough that they didn't care about him. He had thought maybe Michiko would have been the one that he could bond with, but after he had come back from being dead, it seemed different. He was wrong, but he couldn't always be right.
And so he was back. He had no intentions of solving things; it just wasn't that simple. How could someone go back to normal after everything that happened? It just wasn't happening for him. He needed more time to think things over, but he was afraid he was almost to his conclusion. Until he was one hundred percent sure, he would steer clear of that trouble. He didn't feel upset by the decision he was leaning towards and he wasn't sure if that was right or wrong. "Doesn't matter," he muttered under his breath, unaware that he was speaking out loud. But all in all... he didn't care.

The female sighed. Nothing was going her way anymore. Nothing had ever gone her way. But, she wasn't going to dwell on all of that. Instead, she looked to her never ending present for some sort of comfort or happiness... yuck. That was pretty much impossible for this fae. She'd never die... and that sucked. Very badly. She walked slowly through the meadow. There weren't many others here... infact, there was one male here. Her gaze lingered upon him for a moment before she looked back ahead of her. She wasn't in a very good mood. She wasn't even sure why. She just wasn't a happy wolf.
Akuma was her name. Akuma Kokoro. She was pretty, yes. But what was so good about being pretty if you didn't have anything to gain from it? She didn't even care. No, if you called her "emo" she would devour you. For real. Akuma just wasn't one to take shit. She was just herself. It was her fault... she admitted it, but she knew her problems weren't as bad as a lot of other's problems. She actually found herself pretty blessed. She wasn't sure with what... but there had to be something, right?
Akuma sighed, continuing forwards. This was a pretty big valley. She didn't care. She didn't have anywhere to go, or anything to do. And she wouldn't for the rest of her life, either. That's just the way it was. She wasn't the wolf to change it. It's not like anyone liked her anyways. No one would care if she died, and frankly, she'd be glad if it did happen.

If he had been lost in his thoughts, he wouldn't have noticed the presence of another wolf. However, he didn't feel like looking over, nor did he feel like saying anything. Obviously this wolf wasn't going to say anything; they were still quiet. Perhaps they didn't know he was around, perhaps they did. Maybe they weren't the social type. He knew he wasn't. Since there was nothing else to do, he decided to turn his head just a fraction on an inch to see if this wolf was at least male or female. When he looked, though, it was difficult for him to tell. Female, possibly.
Shrugging to himself, he turned his gaze away and looked off into oblivion. Oblivion; it was a strange word, but he felt like he was sinking into it, into a bottomless pit. There was no escaping it; at least, that was what he thought. Or rather how he felt. He let his thoughts wander once again, forgetting about the other wolf that wasn't too terribly far away. What was he to do? He had two options; one, he could forgive and forget, or two, he could just move on. Like before, he thought he had the answer, but he was still unsure.

Akuma glanced out of the corner of her eye with the pupil in it... and saw a male. Unlike some people -coughcough- she could tell that he was a male. As she came closer to him, she decided to be polite. "Hello." She stated quietly, only loud enough so that he could hear, probably. Akuma didn't like to talk to others. It just wasn't like her. She was feeling polite and might as well of said something.

His ears twitched very slightly as he head the other wolf speak, but he made no attempt to move his head. It was obvious she was talking to him; who else was around? But still, he was feeling particularly... out of the normal. "Sorry, are you talking to me?" he asked rather rudely, not caring if he offended her or not. He wasn't a very social character, not because he despised company or anything, but just because he was one that was used to being alone. He preferred it that way... sometimes.

"There's no one else here, that I can see." Akuma stated. Uh, durr. Yeah she was talking to him. 'Doesn't seem like a very bright one, if you ask me..' Setanya thought to Akuma. 'Stay out of this, Setanya... I never asked your opinion on anything.' The wolf thought back to her, annoyed. 'Dammit I should've just killed you...' Akuma added to the annoying little woman.

"For all you know, someone may be blended in with the shadows or hidden away in the scarce foliage that lingers around this valley," he retorted, snorting quietly. His ears twitched even more so and his blood hued eyes darkened as if a shadow had hovered over them. He could hear the female's thoughts, but he couldn't hear the other thing that possessed her. Of course, he had no idea about the other thing and he was beginning to come up with the conclusion that this wolf was mad.
"Do you have a problem or something?" he asked bluntly, suddenly turning his gaze away from the horizon to look at this peculiar female. "Or do you have some little voice in your head that talks to you?" He was well aware this female probably had no idea he could read minds and other things that were far more advanced than most wolves' powers. He also didn't care if she thought he was rude for intruding on her thoughts. He didn't care about the whole privacy thing anymore. His power would be used when he wanted to use it. It wasn't like he could stop it, anyway.

She still hadnt gotten over him. She was sure that she would have...For quite a bit, she had tried her best to forget. She had thought that the pain of his words had died...but it had not, she had just gotten used to the pain. Now that her mind was back on him, the pain was noticable again. before she met Kaige...she had nothing...She was a nervous wreck, scared of everything and everyone, a sad female with no life worth living. Then she found him, and she had strength, courage...He had been her whole life. She never meant to leave...it was never truly her fault, and yet she blamed herself entirely.
Then she found her sisters, or rather, they found her. They tricked her...brain washed her to become part of their evil group. But atleast then...she had something[i/], even if she didnt want it. Now that she got rid of them, she was back to nothing. She wished she could have been with Kaige again. She closed her eyes, remembering his voice, his eyes, the feeling of his breath on her fur, remembering how perfect it was being so close to him, having someone so incredibly perfect...But, there was not going back now. He didnt love her anymore...it was only fair...he didnt deserve her.
Still his words hurt her incredibly. He had told her he didnt care if she died right there...sometimes she wondered if he meant them, but...he had gotten after her for not believing what he had said before...perhaps he was telling the truth. She frowned, her ears tucking against the side of her head as she lay her head on her paws.
What she didnt know, is that she wasnt that far from Kaige, whom she saw leaving a while ago. she didnt know that he had returned. When he did leave, she felt bad...Kaige had been happier with Kali, and she betrayed him...How horrible Kaige must have thought. Shinrin hated it...she didnt want Kaige to hate himself, to her, he was perfect. She let out a soft sigh, closing her eyes as her thoughts continued to swirl through her mind.

Akuma stared at him blankly for a moment. "Would it matter to you if I had a problem?" She asked, ignoring the other question. 'Oh right,' She thought to herself. 'I'm just going to tell him the whole story...' She was heavily sarcastic, and there was another part of it. Then it clicked. A mind reader. 'Oh, shit.' Setanya added her own little opinion on the whole affair. She got terribly pissed off at the little soul that lived inside of her.

"No," he replied with a sneer. "I wouldn't care if you dropped dead right in front of me." He honestly didn't care about his attitude. Before this wolf had bothered him, he was... out of it. Now, he was just rude. But it didn't matter. Again, he heard what was going on in her head, but he could only hear what she was saying. He vaguely wondered if there was something else in there, but at that particular moment, he didn't care. He was also quite oblivious to the fact that another wolf was there, one that he wasn't very fond of.

"I wish I would drop dead, but guess what? I can't." She stated rudely, her eye flashing lightly. 'I hate this...' Akuma thought to herself. She hated being immortal, she hated being stuck with that thing inside of her, she hated how she acted, and she hated the fact that others thought she was nothing but another one of 'them.' Digusting. She was completely oblivious to the other wolf nearby.

"Oh, boo hoo," he retorted, rolling his pupilless blood red eyes. He figured by now that she was immortal. Either that, or she had some sort of curse on her that caused her to live forever. Either way, he didn't really care. He realized then he didn't know what her name was. He was making any attempts to ask what it was, nor was he about to say what his was. In his mind, he figured he wouldn't ever come across her again, so what did it matter? "It doesn't," he growled quietly, answering his own question and not caring if the other wolf thought he was mad. For all he knew, he probably was.

Akuma shook her head. Some wolves were so rude... and yet, that only made her think of herself. 'So I can't even be sure to have privacy in the confines of my own mind...' She thought to, ahem, herself. "I wasn't whining now was I? I was simply stating a fact. So looks like you'll just have to go, day by day, knowing that I'm still alive. That's right, that annoying old bitch just won't die." She stated sarcasticly.

Was she stupid or something? She had to be. Maybe mentally challenged, who knew? "Did I say you were whining? No. I said boo hoo," he said, putting an emphasis on boo hoo and saying it quite slowly. This female was beginning to get on his nerves. Perhaps if he was lucky, she would leave. And never come back. This thought caused him to laugh once without humor. "What a shame," he drawled, just as sarcastically. "And you'll have to go through each day knowing that I'm still alive because a prick like me won't die. Lucky you," he shot back with a heartless smile.

"Are you kidding?" Akuma asked, acting sarcastily shocked. "I'll be able to sleep so much easier now knowing that my good friend whoever the hell you are is still alive." She said, obviously being sarcastic. With any luck at all, the prick he was would just go away soon enough. He was really getting on Akuma's nerves, and she could hear Satanya's annoying laughter ringing in her ears.

"Great!" he exclaimed, sarcasm dripping from his tone. "That's great. Super. Fantastic." He rolled his eyes and moved ever so noticeably away from the female. "So, now that we've got all of that settled, why don't you just pick yourself up and be on your way?" he asked rudely, glaring at her malvolently. He wasn't having any of it and he certainly wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of leaving first. He knew he was getting on her nerves just the same as she was his. He knew she wouldn't leave, and if she did, hell must have frozen over.

Was this wolf mentally retarded? Apparently so. If he thought that she was leaving first. "Thank you for the kind offer, but I think I like this spot rather well. Why don't you go, instead?" Akuma asked, glaring back with her rose red eye. Akuma's left eye had nothing in it, just the white. Yeah, she was kind of scary.

Humorless laughter erupted from Kaige's throat. He knew it wouldn't be this easy. "Because I was here first," he said simply, making it seem like it was just so obvious. "You just came along and disturbed the area with your horrid appearance, so I think it would be best if you left." Sooner or later she would have to leave. He had the feeling it would be later, but he planned to do his best just to piss her off more than he was already doing so. She probably had the same idea in mind.

It took quite a lot to piss Akuma off to the point where she would leave. "Yes, if you must ask, I did. Because I just love to be so rude as to mutter the word hello and then have someone jump down my throat about it. Yes, yes... that sounds just like me." She said being sarcasitcly cheerful.

"Can't fool me," he snorted, yawning audibly. He was beginning to grow bored just sitting around and arguing with someone he had never met before, but he wasn't about to leave. Not not, not ever. Not until she left, and since she wasn't, they were both stuck there together. "Oh, joy," he muttered with a roll of his eyes. He wasn't exactly looking forward to it, but he had nothing else to do and nowhere else to go. He had nothing to lose.
