Akuma sighed. Might as well explain it. It wasn't a huge secret anyways. "If you must know, then no. I don't hear voices... I hear a spirit. Her name's Setanya." She stated. "Oh good Lord that sounded insane... let me continue." She was going to attempt to make this sound as sane as possible... but that wasn't going to be possible. "You see, hundrads of years ago, I was born. This old, Indian woman, Setanya, her name was, came and rescued me as a pup. Naturally, I grew to love her. She was like my mother. I was going to die, though. The Indians did this ritual... making me the way I am, and doing so, I went blind in my left eye, and so it's completely gone." She started. God this was a painfully long story. "Later, I was going to leave. I needed to continue on with my life. However, Setanya and I both wanted her to come with me... and be with me everywhere, she was my best friend. So doing sme magic, she left her body, and her soul joined mine in my body. But this didn't work. So after multiple fights... I ended up in control of my body again. But I didn't kill her..." She sounded quite sad. 'Damnit... I wish you did die...' She added to Setanya. "So now her spirit is still inside me, and I can hear her." Wow. That had sounded very insane. She didn't care if this male, Kaige or whatever, thought she was insane. He probably already did anyways, so what did it matter?

"Interesting," Kaige replied a moment later, though he didn't seem to enthused. What was he supposed to say? 'Oh, wow, that's awesome!'? He wasn't going to tell her he felt sorry for her, because he didn't. He wasn't really one to show sympathy to another. "Maybe you should've used your head. Then you wouldn't be stuck in this kind of mess." He shrugged, seeming distracted. "I hear voices, but it's nothing wonderful like your's. Just the thoughts of others." He snorted, scowling faintly. Though he had control over hearing thoughts, there were some wolves that just had thoughts that were open for the whole world to hear. "Kind of annoying, but no big deal."

Akuma nodded lightly. "I should've thought more about it... but oh well. I'm not blabbing it around looking for sympathy. It was my choice." Akuma wouldn't have accepted the sympathy if he had given it. She never accepted stuff like that. It wasn't their problem. "Also interesting." She added about his power. That would be kind of neat... kind of. After a while she was sure it would get annoying. To hear voices all the time. I guess you'd learn to block it out.

"Not really," he replied absentmindedly. "It's useful sometimes, but the visions are far more useful than thoughts. Sure, you can know if what someone thinks of you, but they could just be faking. Say someone acts nice towards you, but they want to rip off your head." He paused with a frown. What was he saying? "That doesn't make much sense. Okay, forget about the thought thing. Visions are far more useful because they show what's going to happen. The only downside is they don't show when." His frown deepened. He wasn't going to think about the visions he had had. They had happened and they had past. No more dwelling on them.

Akuma nodded, gazing out past Kaige thoughtfully. 'What's my favorite power...' She thought to herself. 'Earth... telepathy... magic...' She couldn't choose between the three. The most useful? Again... difficult. All three of the powers could be rather helpful, at any time. It all depended on what was going on. "Yes... that could be rather helpful, I suppose." Akuma said, but she wouldn't want to see the future. She just wanted to live and see what happened as it happened.

"Not really," he replied with the very faint trace of a scowl. One would think it would be a great thing to have, but it really wasn't; not with the pain that came with it. Sure, it could tell you if trouble was coming, but it could also tell you when someone was going to die. He despised that part. "But whatever. It's not that great anyway." He shrugged it off, ignoring the images that were floating through his mind. He wouldn't go back on that. Not again.

Shinrin had awoken not much after she had fallen asleep. She hadnt even realized she was sleeping. She heard voices in the distance, but could not figure them out at all, not whose voices they were, not the words, not even in which direction they were coming from. And yet, she could still tell there were two wolves talking. The pain surged through her, the emotional pain, not the physical pain. She tried to shake the pain, but could not. For some odd reason, the more the two wolves talked, the angier she started to become. She felt anger rise steadily in her, but she didnt know why. She just...wanted...to attack something. Instead of searching out the other wolves, she bit down onto her paw. The blood spurted from the wound that would in time heal over and become like so many other scars that were hidden under her black fur. It helped her a bit actually, but she still felt something...a strong sadness, longing, and still a slight bit of anger. Without realizing, she began to make her way towards the other wolves. She stopped as she spotted them, but she was out of it, still stuck in her foggy thoughts, and did not recognize Kaige. She had thought he left for good. She glanced back from Akuma and Kaige, and felt another surge of anger, but she couldnt tell why. She shook her head and walked slightly closer. Her eyes rested on a spot past the other wolves, even as she listened to their conversation, their arguments. The males voice sounded so awefully familiar, but she thought nothing of it. She opened her mouth to speak up, but found herself quiet. She knew the others could see her now, probably knew she was there, so there was no just up and running away, but she didnt care. She didnt care about much of anything anymore. There was one thing she had cared about, but he didnt want her to care about him anymore, so she kept it inside, where the pain would shred at her heart. Her tail twitched behind her as she sat down. She had began to forget about the wovles as she found herself back in her deep, cloudy thoughts. She saw the world around her, but it no longer made any sense to her at all, like she wasnt even there. She stared blankly, as if in a trance, not a speck of emotion on her cold, dark face. "Uhm... you just said it was helpful." Akuma said, and as the wind blew, she could smell another's presence in the area. She didn't know this wolf, nor did she believe she would like them. As she turned her head a fraction of an inch, she could smell the wolf more clearly, and the scent was obviously female. Why she didn't like the female? Who knew. It was a mystery to her, and probably to everyone else. It's not like she had any connection to the wolf. She just... didn't like her. At all. So she decided to ignore her... after glancing over to see what the female looked like. She snorted quietly, turning her gaze back to Kaige. She wondered if he would know her, or like her. Not that she would really care at all.

"I say a lot of things that don't really make sense," he replied flatly. He was beginning to feel irritated again, but not because of Akuma. It was familiar, in a way, but he wasn't sure why. Turning his head to see what Akuma had glanced at, he saw another wolf, but from where he was, he couldn't make out who it was. In all honesty, he didn't really care. As long as that wolf didn't bother him, he had no problems. "It might be helpful," he said a moment later, turning his attention back to Akuma, "but it isn't great. Especially when the vision shows you who's going to die. If it's an enemy, then who really gives a damn. But family?" He paused and shook his head. "I'd rather pass. Too bad I can't."

She stared out ahead. She was no longer there, on the earth, but lost in the depths of her own, anguished heart and mind. She began to chat in her mind, but her conversation left her tongue, and without realizing, she was speaking outloud. "I never knew that my life would come to this. They never told me this when I was a pup...." Her face stayed emotionless, and she spoke as if she was insane, though, it was possible she was going quite insane. "They never told me how much pain I would go through, how much hurt, how much suffering. They never told me my life was a waste. They never told me I would be hurting the only ones I ever loved. Thats all my life has been....a waste, one big ole pain in the ass.
"I can only be angry at myself for being alive...for hurting everyone the way I did...without even meaning to, but I will never say it was not my fault, not anymore, for I feel it is my fault. I was the one who fell in love, like a stupid pup. I was the one who spoke up, made...him...think I was a good wolf. Well...if I knew my life was going to be like this, if I knew what was going to happen to him, because of me, I would have just killed myself a long long time ago. I would say I should get over it, but Ive tried that. I should be telling myself to let go, to forget about him and let him live his life, because he doesnt need me...but...Im afraid those thoughts, those feelings of hatred for myself...its all I have left..."
She blinked. Finally, she noticed the wolves in front of her again. "Sorry...I...must be in your way. Forgive me." She stood up and walked past them, but stopped only feet away. "You stupid wolf." She began speaking to herself again. "Your going crazy. You should have died when he told you he didnt love you anymore...you should have just died, but you had to listen to your damned sisters...oh...go to hell SHinrin. ....hmm...maybe hell will except me....then again, probably not...Look at yourself...nobody cares about you anymore. No one ever cared about you, and the only one who might have, you had to go and hurt. You stupid, stupid wolf."

"Hm, that would be quite terrible. That, I would hate." However, Akuma had never really had family in the first place, so it really wouldn't have mattered much anyways. She didn't care, though. She guessed if one had family to lose then it would be terrible. And she knew for a fact that she wouldn't want to see that. It would be too hard. She found her life a blessing, because hey, someone always had it worse in one way or another. So Akuma kept her head up, and didn't really come in contact with many others. She didn't want to grow fond of anyone, because hardly anyone else was immortal now a days. She basically, Akuma lived her life alone, and quite frankly, she was okay to do that for the rest of her life. Her ears pricked as she heard the other wolf speak to them. She honestly hadn't really been listening to her until she was speaking to them. "Um, are you insane?" She asked, lifting one brow. She didn't care if she sounded rude, that was just the way she was. Hell, was it her problem if the bitch was crazy? Not really. If she was, she'd just ask her to leave. It's not like it would have made a difference to her, anyways. Akuma honestly didn't give a damn, but whatever. [/blockquote]

Shinrin stopped in her tracks with the females voice. It didnt sound familiar to her, but then again, nothing would. "Hn." She let out a small grunt without looking back. "Insane? Well...I guess I am going insane, aint I? ...so I was speaking out loud? Terribly sorry to darken your days with my constant hatred for myself...I guess its just that my insanity is all I really have left. Not that it matters, not to me, not to you. Infact, Im probably just getting on your nerves by continuing to speak, you probably want me to leave...but I dont have the mind reading powers I once had, nor the ability to read the future through the stars...gave that up for power, not like you really care."
She let out a sigh, but just kept talking. "Yup...power...I wanted to impress someone by having that power, show them that I was worth keeping around...didnt work, only lost another of my lives...only have one left now..." She glanced up at the single feather, dangling dangerously infront of her maw. "Only one snap at that feather, and I wont have one left..." She seemed to ponder on this thought. "Sounds pretty easy..." Her maw twitched in wanting desperatly to bite at the feather, then she sighed and glanced down. "guess I only became weaker...like suicide will actually help me at all..." She shook her head, remembering she was talking to someone else. "There I go again, babling as if I thought you cared what I had to say..." She stared blankly ahead. "May you have a much fuller life than me. I'll give you some advice...if you ever fall inlove, dont ever leave him...it will kill you..."

"Right," Kaige replied, his gaze foggy and off into the distance. He wasn't being sarcastic or anything of the sort. It was just the only word that came to mind that didn't make it seem as if he was going to drag on and on about the subject; it wasn't something he liked to talk about, especially with someone he hardly knew. His ears twitched as he heard Akuma speak, though this time it wasn't directed towards him. He suddenly had a feeling, the kind that came when you knew something bad was about to happen, or when you knew something wasn't right.
Turning his head, he found Shinrin standing not too far away. "Oh, shit," he muttered under his breath, abruptly turning his head away. There was a low growl that rumbled deep within his chest, but it was quiet, as he did not want Shinrin to notice he was right there, almost right in front of her eyes. She hadn't noticed him yet, but that was probably because she seemed... out of it. He risked taking a quick glance and narrowed his eyes at the sight. "And I thought I was messed up," he snorted, shaking his head as he turned away again. He wasn't about to say anything to her, and since she hadn't taken notice of him, he didn't see any reason why he should speak to her.

Shinrin took a step forward, then came to an abrupt stop. She knew the female probably wanted her to get the hell out of there, but she couldnt help but feel she shouldnt. Her ears pricked up, and it seemed that she had heard Kaige. She turned around, glancing between both Kaige and Akuma. "Are you two together?" SHe asked. Obviously, she had not heard Kaige. She looked at Akuma. "If so, Im telling you...dont do anything you will later regret...when love is lost...well...it damn near kills ya. It sure as hell nearly killed me.." She paused. "not like it would have mattered.." She added in a whisper. She looked over at Kaige, staring him straight in the face. However, she was still quite out of it. "And you..." Her face went completly serious, and it seemed almost as if she wasnt insane, except for the fact that she still didnt recognize Kaige. "If she makes a small mistake...please try to understand her. She probably doesnt ever mean to hurt you...and without forgiveness...it just might...turn her completly insane. It isnt fun. It sucks. It really sucks, especially knowing you are good for nothing, but to be spit apon once your carcass rots into the grass." She stopped her short speech and let out a sigh, suddently longing for Kaige even more. She turned around and took a few steps, then stopped and started talking to herself again. "Stupid wolfess...he left a long time ago...why should he care about you? Sure...he used to care....but that was back when you were young...he might have been everything you ever cared about, the only reason to live, you may still be completly inlove with him...but he wants nothing to do with you. Silly...dumb wolf...just...let it go..."

"Goddammit!" He should have known she was going to notice him sooner or later; she wasn't that stupid. What baffled him, though, was the fact that he did not feel angry. Not even a smidge. It was a common thing that happened when Shinrin started speaking , especially of the past, but this time... there was nothing. Only a trace of irritation. Had he just grown so used to her complaints that there was nothing left to be angered at? It was a question he would ponder over for quite some time, but he wasn't about to let the surprise show across his face.
Turning only a few inches, expression void of any and every emotion, he looked from Akuma to Shinrin and back again. "No, we are not together," he answered evenly. "I don't plan on getting involved with anyone for a long time, if not never again." It was true, in a way. He really wasn't about to go off and find himself a new mate. He was done and over with that. If the time came, then yes, perhaps he would, but for now he had no intentions.
Hearing what Shinrin said next pushed the irritation on, causing him to bite down on his tongue in order to restrain himself for what he wanted to say. Instead, he turned away, glaring off into the distance as if he had a painful headache. He wasn't going to act immature. Unlike others, he was able to let things go. Somethings.

Shinrin turned back around and stared at Kaige, as if looking into the depths of him. "So...you two are not together?" She blinked for a bit. "You used to have a mate? you were hurt then? I can see it in your face..."She took a deep breath. "Im sorry." Then quite suddently, without meaning to, she smiled. "But perhaps you will find another. Its too late for some...those without meaning, but you seem to have much meaning." Though her eyes were staring at Kaige, they didnt seem at all like SHinrin's eyes. Her smile faded. "I cant help but think I am completly wasting both of your times..." She glanced back and forth from Kaige to Akuma, then stopped once more on Kaige. "Hmm..." She smiled once more. "You remind me of someone. Cant place my paw on it. Have I seen you before?"

Kaige muttered something inaudible, still glaring out into the horizon. He could easily find another mate if he were to give some female more than half his time and attention. But he had had enough of all of that. Soon enough, he would turn back to his loner ways and be at point A all over again, just like after the attack on his family and pack members. At this point, though, he honestly didn't care. Like mates, he had had enough of life, too. If he could have, he would have ended his life not too long ago. But, then again, why take the cowards way out? It would only make him look weak and foolish. He would just keep his thoughts to himself.
"Our time has already been wasted," he muttered, rolling his crimson hued eyes up towards the darkened sky above. It was strange how it had been like this for quite some time now, strange how this chilling cold seemed to linger around when it should be the beginning of spring, but he didn't put much thought into it. It was always like that now.

"hm" Shinrin muttered. She couldnt help but notice he had not answered her last question, so she decided to ignore it. "I dont know why...but...I feel almost happy around you. I havnt felt that way since..." He smiled faded to a frown. "well...that doesnt matter. Im done with complaining...with feeling sorry for myself." She wasnt sure if that was true, thats just what came out. "No matter. Thank you..for...talking to me. Even if I am insane, even if you didnt want to..and really didnt talk all that much. Ive just...Ive needed someone to talk to. Thank you." She turned around and began to walk off, then stopped. She shook her head. She couldnt help but think that wolf seemed so familiar...and why did he make her feel...happy? She turned around, staring into his eyes for a few moments. Her stomach began aching and she fell to the ground. GRunting, she stood back up. But when she looked up at him this time, her eyes widened. "K...Kaige?" Her face was frozen in shock.

Akuma stood in silence, listening to the two of them. This wolfess sounded crazy and Kaige sounded annoyed. 'They know eachother...' She thought obviously to herself. She had figured that out quite some time ago, and was just thinking it to herself now. Now of course, she could use her telepathy to contact either wolf if she wanted, but for now, Akuma stayed quiet, confined to the depths of her own thoughts. Akuma wasn't about to go and get nosy, but she was, infact, a little bit curious about the relationship between the two. Could it be, that Kaige and this wolfess were previously mates? If so, this wolfess had a hell of a hard time moving on. Akuma had never, not in her thousands of years of living, fallen in love. She never planned to, because eveyone who she might care for would just die off before her. Akuma couldn't die... and that was just the way it was. There was no stopping life, not when it wanted you to be alive.
"Yes, that's Kaige..." Akuma finally spoke up. She had said it quite sarcasticly, and she had meant to sound that way. Akuma just didn't like the wolf, and would've said something along the lines of: "No, we don't want you here. So why don't you go away now?" But Akuma was too... hell, no she wasn't. Akuma was just curious to see what was going on with these two. [/blockquote]
