Six little balls of fur. Six little bundles of joy. Six little lives that she was now in charge of. This time it was different; she hadn't been forced to have pups. It was her own choice and she didn't regret it. Of course, she didn't really regret having the pups she had when Alaric had captured her, but that was different. It wasn't right. He wasn't her mate, nor did she love him in any way, shape, or form. There was no possible way she could ever love someone like that. The thought of loving someone that cruel caused her to laugh humorlessly out loud. Her sudden movement disturbed the pups that had been sleeping soundly at her side, buried in her fur for extra warmth.
Nudging them all back into place with her nose, she began to wonder what they would be like when they were older. She wondered if the two sets of twins would be exactly like each other just like they were with their physical looks, or if they would be polar opposites. She wondered if two regular pups would be out of place, like they were outcasts, because they didn't look alike. She also wondered if the smallest of the pups, the runt, would even live to see tomorrow. She didn't want to have any doubts, but the pup was so tiny and so fragile she couldn't help it. She let her lavender colored gaze roam over the small bodies that were nestled up against hers, taking in each one of their appearances. They were certainly unique looking; the two female twins were a pale pink in color with white going from their faces all the way to the tips of their tails with two white paws; the male twins were white and red and definitely interesting looking; the third female was white with pale pink and lavender markings while little runt was about the same, just with different markings in different places.
With a small sigh, Akina rested her head upon her paws feeling quite content. She hadn't named the pups yet, wanting to wait for Dasher to arrive, but she had some names in mind. Trying to fight sleep was nearly impossible. She wanted to wait for Dasher, wanting to see his reaction when he saw their pups, but her eyes were growing heavy and she felt exhausted. Within seconds, she was sound asleep, unable to fight it off any longer.

(( I have a name!!! =D Zerah! Zeru and Zerah! Oh yeah! ))
Dasher was overwhelmed with excitement. Today was the day! Today was the day that Akina had given birth to their pups. It was an odd sensation to be a father again, but he loved it. He missed his other two daughters dearly and would never forget them – but he was both excited and nervous to be a father once again. He sucked in his breath as he made his way toward were the den Akina was and the newborn pups, who he hadn’t met yet.
“Dasher…” A voice whispered in Dasher’s ears. A chill went down his spine as he heard the word. He twisted his head around, but he saw no one. The odd thing was that the voice sounded familiar, but he wasn’t sure where he heard the voice before. His red eyes darted everywhere before he shook the feeling off and kept on walking.
“Dasher…” The voice said again. Dasher stop dead in his tracks, and turned around, but no body was there. He took a deep breath. He was getting a bit freaked out, who was that? It must have been his mind playing tricks on him – since he was so nervous and excited. He once again shook off the feeling and went on walking.
He slipped into the den. He immediately noticed that Akina was knocked out. A soft smile spread across his maw as he saw the six bundles of joy. He made his way near her and laid down across from her, giving her plenty of room. He licked the top of her head. Yet, he didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to awake her.
An odd sensation then came. It wasn’t a bad feeling and it wasn’t unfamiliar. It was filled with comfort, but it still gave Dasher the chills. He grinded his teeth together, trying to get the sensation out of his mind. What was wrong with him?

Although she may have been deep in sleep, Akina could sense that someone else was there. Stirring gently as to not disturb the sleeping pups, she opened her eyes and pushed herself off her side in an attempt to see who it was that was there, unsure if the intruder was a friend or foe. When she saw it was just Dasher, she sighed quietly and shook her head to herself. Who was she thinking it would be? Certainly not Alaric. The thought of him caused a chill to go down her spine, but she ignored it and put on a smile, but who was she fooling?
"Well... hello," she said in a soft spoken voice; she knew the pups couldn't hear her, but she didn't want to take any chances when it came to disturbing them. "Took you long enough, you big oaf," she said with a slightly irritated look. Of course, she really wasn't angry or annoyed; it was just fun being able to joke around and poke fun at him, especially since she hadn't been able to do it in so long. "So, what do you think?" she asked, looking from him to the pups and back again.

“Hello,” Dasher said with a small smile. “Sorry…” He said. He knew she was joking around with him, they used to always do that, but for some reason Dasher was in a serious mood, so took her words as if she was upset or something that he had been late. His mind was on something else, and wasn’t paying much attention to the tone of her voice. “I got caught up….with something.” He said with a small frown, however shook it away when she spoke again. He turned to look at the pups and then back to her. “They’re beautiful. Just like their mother.” He said forcing out a smile.

Immediately, Akina sensed there was something wrong. She had been with Dasher long enough to know these things, and even though they had been apart for a year, she wasn't oblivious to it. Shifting her weight and moving very slowly as to not disturb the pups, she pushed herself up into a sitting position. "Okay, something is up," she said with a quiet tone as a frown crossed over her maw. "Is it something about the pups? Or me?" she asked, narrowing her eyes in slight concern. "Or something completely different? You can't keep these things from me, you know," she said, now speaking in a whisper. She wasn't quite sure what was wrong with him. He had seemed fine just a minute ago, but now... she didn't know.

“No,” Dasher said with a shake of his head at her words. “It has nothing to do with your or the pups.” He said as he turned to look at her. He wasn’t trying to hide anything, but he wasn’t sure if there was something to worry about yet. He shrugged his shoulder. “It’s just that…on the way here…I heard someone say my name and I have this strange feeling. I’m not sure if it is a good feeling or a bad feeling…yet…it’s familiar.” He said as he looked down toward the ground, he wasn’t sure if he was making any sense.

Akina's frown deepened even more and the confusion held in her eyes was now visible. She thought back in an attempt to come up with something that might help, but nothing really came to mind. "Is it that demon thing?" she asked, glaring out past his shoulder. She wasn't mad; she was nowhere near that. "Maybe he's trying to take over again?" She sighed and shrugged helplessly. It was the only thing she could come up with.

"No," Dasher said with a shake of his head. "It's not him. I can't even feel him anymore. It's something else...I'm not sure....the voice sounded familar though, but perhaps it was my mind playing tricks on me." He said though he didn't really believe it. He wasn't sure what was going on.
"Dasher...." Came the voice again. Dasher jolted his head up and looked around before turning to look at Akina. "Did you hear that?" He asked her.

Akina looked at him, now deep in though and still somewhat confused. "Well... I don't know what to tell you," she said after a moment, shrugging helplessly once again. She couldn't come up with anything. Turning her attention away from Dasher and back to the pups, beginning to think of names for them rather than worry about Dasher's sanity. When she heard him speak again, she looked up, somewhat irritated and frowned. "What?"

Dasher frowned. Akina didn’t hear the voice, then why did he? Was he going insane or something. He gritted his teeth together. He doubted it. He could feel the presence of another, it was getting stronger, he knew now it wasn’t an evil presence, however it was a good one, it was somewhat familiar. Dasher shook his head as he turned to look at Akina, he didn’t want to make her think he was going insane or something. “Never mind.” He said, though the feeling was getting stronger.

Akina wasn't one that normally got angry a lot, or easily for that matter, but for some unknown reason, she was beginning to feel a very small bit of anger towards Dasher. Maybe not anger, maybe it was annoyance. Whatever it was, she wasn't her normal self. "Why don't you just forget about it already?" she snapped, eyes darkening as she glared at him. "I think your children matter just a bit more than some stupid voice you keep hearing." She didn't feel any regret for snapping at him. At least, not at the moment. "Why don't you just go then?" she asked, turning her fiery gaze away. If he didn't want to take part in their children's lives at the moment, she wanted nothing to do with him. She supposed she should have been a little... supportive over the whole voice thing, but at the moment, she wasn't up for it. Her children mattered more.

Dasher turned to look at Akina; he was shocked by her sudden behavior. They were never ones to quarrel. “I’m sorry, Akina. I never met to make you think that I never cared for our children.” He wasn’t going to get angry, nor was he going to defend the voice…whoever it was. He knew whoever it was it was of great importance, but he wasn’t sure why. “I’m sorry. I won’t mention it again. Yet, if you wish for me to leave, I will.”

"Why don't you just go and obsess over that voice somewhere else?" She scowled slightly and turned her full attention back to the sleeping pups. "I'll just name them by myself," she muttered quietly, almost inaudibly. With a thoughtful frown, she studied each pup, taking in every detail she could in order to come up with names. She didn't want to name them something common and dull. She wanted their names to be unique; hopefully they would fit their personalities once those developed.

Dasher sighed as he pushed himself up from the ground. “Very well then.” He said in a low voice as he walked out of the den. He didn’t want Akina to be angry with him, but he couldn’t concentrate on anything else, he couldn’t help it. He was joyful for the birth of their six pups, but something was telling him….that something big was going to happen.
“Akina, do not blame my son, for he was telling the truth.” Came the voice from nowhere. Suddenly a pitch black wolf with red markings was sitting in front of Akina. He was large, possibly five feet tall, and quite bulky. His pelt was pitch black and electric red markings ran throughout his fur. There was a light red aura around him as his bright red eyes looked down upon Akina, a small smile spread across his maw. “It’s so nice to finally meet my daughter-in-law”

This was the final straw for Akina. She could feel the anger pulsing through her, especially now that this bloke was in front of her near her pups. And Dasher's attitude didn't help matters, either. "You better get the hell out of here or you'll regret it," she snarled, fangs bared and all. She could care less if this wolf was Dasher's father. He could have been the creator of creatures for all she knew, but she didn't care. She was fed up and wasn't having any of it anymore. "So if you don't mind," she started again, fur bristling, "I'd like it if you left. I have things I need to do since no one else wants to participate." With that, she turned her heated gaze back to the pups, fuming. This wolf could easily kill her in one hit, especially since Akina was small and slender, but she didn't care.

[blockquote]“There is no need to be angry. Anger is an unnecessary feeling. I did not come here to intentions of hurting you or your pups.” Nuka said in a calm voice. Yet, he didn’t move from his spot. He wasn’t just going to walk away. He didn’t plan on what he was going to say to his son, after all Dasher and Koder believed that he was dead. They did not know that he was a God. “I am here to help. I’m Nuka Nightwind God of the Spirits and Dasher’s father.” [/blockquote]

"I could care less who you are, alright? The only thing I want to see is your tail as you get out of here, okay?" Akina didn't care that she was being childish or immature. She wanted nothing to do with anyone and this fool was pushing her further and further to her breaking point. "So get. Out. Of. Here." She spoke each word slowly and clearly. If he didn't leave, all hell would break loose. "Go get Dasher yourself. I want nothing to do with you right now, okay? So please. GO. AWAY.

“I didn’t want to cause you any trouble, Akina….” He said as he pushed himself up from the ground and shook his head. “Hmm, I didn’t think you were going to act this way. After everything your family said about you – I never knew you would be cruel to guest.” He said with a shrug of his shoulders. “I guess I’ll have a chat with Dasher on my own, but I did wish to speak to my daughter-in-law as seeing she is the mother of my grandchildren.”

"I honestly don't care right at this moment. I've just had pups, I'm tired, and highly annoyed. Go ahead and say what you want about me, it doesn't bother me any." With that being said, she turned her back and, once more, turned her attention back on the pups, not giving a damn what that wolf thought about her.

Nuka frowned. He really didn’t want to intrude. He really made a poor mistake about choosing the time to interfere. If he didn’t speak to Dasher right now, surely Akina would tell him and he didn’t want that. He sighed. “I’m really sorry, Akina. I didn’t mean to bug you. I know you just had your pups and are tired. I should have waited for a while, if you would forgive me I shall be on my way now – however I do beg of you to keep this meeting a secret from Dasher. I wish to speak to him myself when the time is right.” With that he vanished from sight.
Dasher was oblivious to what was going on. He remained close to the den, sitting upon the ground. He sighed as he thought about what happened. Him and Akina were never ones to have an argument. He didn’t want to see like that the odd voice he was hearing was more important then his family – because nothing was more important. After a few minutes he pushed himself up from the ground and made his way back to the den. “Akina…” He whispered. “Listen, Akina. I’m so very sorry. I don’t wish to argue. Can you forgive me?”
