Ricky savored a little breeze, being quite excitable at the moment. Maybe it was the fact he'd crossed into some other territory without being ambushed a second after he stepped into it, or maybe it was the fact he hadn't slept in the past twenty four hours. Either way, he had quite the spring in his step. The chill on his speckled orange fur was quite noticable to him, and the fact the silly little mohawk-esque tuft on his head was flicking around lazily with every stray wind. His over-grown claws clicked along the roots he tred over, but yet again, he was oblivious. Pretty soon he'd be outta here, anyway. But doing it in silence was quite too boring. Soon he was humming, stopping only to "ooo" and "aah" at nearly every other plant he saw.

Naomi made her way through the forest. She was anxious, yet neverous about meeting her mother...someone she hadn't seen in over a year. It felt much longer then that, it felt as if her home wasn't really Nozomi, since she only lived here for five months. She sighed as she kept running, but she wasn't paying much attention where she was going, before she knew it she slammed into an unknown wolf. "Oh my! I'm so sorry!" She said with a frown shaking her fur as she stood up. "Are you alright?"

Ricky skidded back, yelping melodramatically. He nearly added a growl to it, too, until he heard the she-wolf apologies. He blinked his big, green eyes, getting them to focus. She was probably just a year or so younger then him, maybe. He quickly regained his composure, puffed out his chest a little, and shook his head. “Why, ‘course I am! Don’t worry your li’l head over it, kay?” he replied, smiling toothily. He bowed his head a little, before continuing on, “Where’s the fire, though? I mean, gotta be in quite a hurry to just run int’ someone like that, don'tcha think?”

"Oh, well. I was running to go see my mother, who I haven't seen in like a year. I guess I was kind of afraid if I didn't hurry and go do it, I'll chicken out." Naomi said with a shrug of her shoulders. Part of her wanted to just turn around and leave, while the other part wanted her to reunite with her broken family, she wasn't quite sure what to do.

Ricky nodded vigorously. “Oh, I see, yeah. I’d hurry, too, I guess,” Ricky blabbered, “I mean, as long as your mom’s, like, a good-guy and all. Y’know what I mean. Not that I’m doubting that she is, or isn’t, or whatever floats your boat.” He nearly tripped over his spindly legs as he walked, smiling gawkily the whole time, jaw half-open with his tongue lolling off to one side. “Don’t let me hold you up. Go with your heart or whatever.” He, of course, couldn't exactly put himself in her shoes. Maybe it'd be best if I shut up and let her go... he thought. ...Nah.

“She is a good wolf, and I know she’ll be happy to see me back.” She said with a nod of her head, she was about to run off, her mind told her legs too, but they wouldn’t budge. She sat down upon the ground and sighed. This was a difficult decision for her to choose. Should she stay or leave? Did her heart belong to the Nozomi? Or back where she lived for most of her life? She wasn’t sure what to do, where to go, she pushed her ears upon her skull. Thinking.

“Well, then, why’re ya’ waitin’?” Ricky huffed, slinking to look at her up-close in the face swiftly. He squinted his tired eyes, gnawing on his lip for a moment. He could scarcely remember how young he was when he ditched home, but he was only a few months older then the she-wolf sitting in front of him. He wondered how young she could’ve been, or how long she was gone. “If she’s as good a mom as you say she is, I’m sure she’s been worried about you.” He glanced over his shoulder, quickly turning around and leaping onto an old, knotted tree root to act as a platform. His toes had a hard time keeping balanced, but he still managed to flail a spare paw in exaggeration as he spoke. “I mean, if my momma was any good, you can bet I’d be visitin’ her every once and a while.”

Naomi turned around and looked back at him. "It's not as simple as it seems." She said with a frown. "I'm not sure what I want to do. I want to come home...but then again...where is home?" She asked him, though she highly doubt he would know the answer. She sighed deeply as she took a few steps backwards. "I just don't know what to do." She muttered under her breath.
(( Sorry for the shortness. But HEY I replied =D ))

“I never had much of a home, myself. I’m probably not gunna be much help for ya, miss.” Ricky proclaimed, still performing a balancing act on the weathered root. “ But I suppose your home is wherever people care about you and you care about them, though, right? That’s an easy enough question to answer.” His ears flicked forward, his green eyes looking down at Naomi, his skinny paws set in one place and his pathetic rat-tail out straight for balance. The younger wolfess’s predicament was interesting to him; it’d never been something he dealt with or even considered. Licking one of the steel piercings along his lip, he waited to see what she’d have to say.

“Maybe…but I’ve been gone for a year.” Naomi said with a sigh. She lifted her head up as she felt the breeze go through her fur. “I do love it here, and I have a wonderful family…it’s just that.” She wasn’t sure why she didn’t wish to return home, truthfully. Was it the fact because it’s been so long? Or perhaps deep down inside she is afraid of her father. Her wicked father. “Maybe I should stay…I hope my mother is alright. I hope I didn’t cause her any pain. I wouldn’t want that.”
