It’s been such a long time. Well, a little over a year, but it felt a lifetime ago. The female paused in her steps as she took a deep breath, a piece of hair gently fell in front of her light blue eyes as she moved her head and looked around the dark forest. She could feel the curse upon this forest, feel as it wrapped its way chocking up the good magic from the air, it even made her a bit woozy as she took a few steps back. She closed her eyes trying to tell herself that she was only passing through, she was feeling a bit weak, and was only going to rest. The last thing she needed was more Dark magic.
She sat down upon the ground and wrapped her tail around her paws. She felt exhausted, but she still held her posture strong, like any old Alphess would do. She was brave and strong, she wasn’t one to show weakness, but she wouldn’t deny or hide her feelings as well. She was very open to others. It would be hard to tell that she was getting on in years, her eyes were still sharp and her white fur was still a snow white color (with a few occasional silver hairs) it was mostly because of her powers, if it weren’t for them, she knew she’d be either dead or close
She tried to remember a time when her life was filled with peace and beauty. A time when she woke up without a worry, a time when something horribly went wrong, she frowned, because she couldn’t think of a time like that….every happiness she had…was taken away from her. She however would never wish to change things, for things happen for a reason, even if she didn’t agree with them. Her mind searched as she thought back upon her past, her memories landed upon her sons, the two most important wolves in her life.
She knew they were okay. She could sense it. However she was getting weak from the long troubles and wasn’t able to contact them and know where they were. She had hoped Dasher had found Akina and hoped Koder has found whatever he was searching for. She sighed deeply as her mind soon landed upon another wolf, another wolf that had been very important to her, Conoly. She really did love him. Correction, she loves him, she always will. The memory of him was beginning to fade away, but not the feeling of being around him, not the feeling of always wanting to be with him no matter what. She missed him terribly, and hoped that wherever he was he was alright and safe. She wouldn’t want any more burden then he had already had while living with them in the pack.
My dear sons, I hope you are both okay. I hope happiness has filled up your lives. She thought in her mind, though she knew they could not hear her. She could feel a whisper in her ears, but knew it wasn’t from her sons.
My dear sister, I know your love ones are safe. You could even say they’re closer then you know. Came the voice within Kisha’s mind, but it wasn’t her own, it belonged to her sister. Over the years the two had grown close, but had only seen each other a few times, most of their meetings where in their minds. Kisha was puzzled by her sisters’ words, but before she could say anything she felt her sister’s presence leave her.

Moving gently with no rush nor no lust, large paws pressed againts the ground. Beautiful, forest green eyes looked forward but without sight. Blindness was a curse, but it came with many gifts blessed on this brute. His ears could sense the solids around him, allowing him easy movement past the trees that stood before him. A powerful nose scented the aura around him, carried to him the things he could not see but could feel.
Taking in a deep breath, he moved forward. There was something calling him, a power beyond his imagination that carried him towards this place. The large, black bulk of fur carried him forward, and even his own prance seemed powerful with each step he took. The only sign of age on the brute was the gathering of silver growing from his nose and stretching across his muzzle. Silver gathered around the ruff of his neck and the tip of his tail, but the muscles that rippled with confidence beneathe his coat showed warning to not underestimate him.
There. There was something here, a sense only the heart could detect. Stopping dead in the middle of his stamps, his ears swiveled atop his head like radars. Blind eyes searched for that color, that color in his view that could never be repeated.
In the distance... a simple flash of what he could not trust himself to believe. That beautiful color, that beautiful sight of hope that made his whole body shift into the prance of a pup.
A bark rang out from his strong jaws, a bark that echoed across the far reachers of the terra. Conoly could see her. He could see her beautiful form, her beautiful aura.

Kisha’s ears twitched as she heard something familiar. Her heart jumped at the sound before her mind could register who it was. She snapped her head around as she looked upon the figure that stood only a short distance away from her. Her heart began to pound in her chest and she took deep sharp breaths. It just couldn’t be….could it. She pushed herself up from the ground and gradually made her way closer to the figure, she was sure that her heart was pounding so loudly that anyone else could hear it. She paused, standing a few feet away from him.
“C-Conoly is that truly you? Or is my mind playing tricks upon me?” Her voice was low and soft. She was almost too afraid to believe it was him. She felt as if the next moment he would be gone in a wisp of air, just her mind teasing her because of something she longed for…but couldn’t have. She blinked a few times, afraid that when she opened them he would be gone, but when she did he was there every time. A spark of hope flickered in herself thinking that he could actually be here before her now.

Was this what the Soul of Child had spoken of? Had she known all along Kisha was still alive, still around? Conoly didn't know what to think. How could this truly be the one he had ever loved? How could this be the female that haunted his greatest dreams and floated amongst every thought? He took in a deep breath. He knew it was truly her. No other female could ever have the color that represents her in his blind eyes. No other female could carry the delicious scent that floated around her in the air. No other female's voice could make his joints shake and his muscles lock up with joy. No, no other female could ever be his Kisha. Taking in what courage he could muster, Conoly opened his jaw but no words could flow from his mind fast enough. "Kisha... Kisha, it's truly me," He finally whispered. He felt as if his immotality had suddenly been siezed from him and he could die at any instant. No, though, he still breathed and his heart continued to pump inside his chest. "Kisha... I-..." In all the time he was away he had so much to say to her. He had so many words he wished to share... and yet only one phrase came to mind. "I'm so sorry," He whispered.

Kisha took a few steps more; she could feel her legs shake even more as she got closer. She pressed her head into his chest and took a deep breath. She could feel the tears linger in her eyes, threatening to fall. It really was him! So her sister had been right. She had said that Kisha’s love ones were closer then she thought…but her sister’s words were plural, not singular, was there someone else here? She wasn’t sure, all she cared about was that this wasn’t a dream, it couldn’t be. Everything felt too real.
“Conoly…” She whispered trying to hold back the tears. “I-I can’t believe it. I thought I would never see you again.” With that the tears rolled down her cheeks, silently. She took a deep breath before she spoke again. “Sorry? Sorry for what?” She asked as she tilted her head upwards, taking a slight step back, as she looked directly at him.

Conoly's whole body shook with a weakness he hadn't expierenced since the Wasteland. Taking in uneven breaths, he rested his snout atop her head when she pressed it againts him. As she backed up he had to resist the pull of his body to move forward with her. If he could cry, he would be, and his eyes shimmered more than they usually did in their constant glossy state.
He moved his head as if to look directly in her eyes, "I did not believe I'd ever see you again either, my love." He murmered the words now, his voice lifted from a whisper to a gently rumble. "I still cannot believe you're here with me," He said with the softest of smiles growing across his expression.
He ducked his head down, his body jerking as if he'd been slammed into. It took him a long momment to speak again, but his voice was clear. "I am sorry for ever leaving you, Kisha. I was not me, I had lost myself, I had thought I'd lost you as well... I-" His strong voice finally broke. So much had happened. So many sins he'd done, so many regrets he now carried as a burden across his broad shoulders. Now, though, none of that mattered now. It was Kisha! He wanted to laugh, prance about and howl out the beauty of the momment.
"I've missed you so much."

Kisha frowned slightly at his words. She knew there was nothing to be sorry for. She didn’t blame him. She could never be angry or upset at him. No matter what happened she would always love him. “Don’t say that, Conoly. It wasn’t your fault you left. I never blamed you.” She said trying to keep her voice strong, the last thing she wanted to do was break down and cry, she hadn’t cried in a while, she could feel all her emotions pushing to the surface wanting to be let out.
“I’ve missed you too. Not a day has gone by when I didn’t miss you. It feels as if we’ve been apart for a hundred years.” She said in her soft voice. A smile tugged across her maw, she wasn’t quite sure what to feel. She was tearful because she hadn’t seen him in so long, but then she was also excited. She closed her eyes and groaned slightly at the pain from the dizziness she had. If only she wasn’t so exhausted then everything would have been perfect.

"Still my selfless Kisha, I see," Conoly said with a chuckle in his voice. Moving forward he nuzzled againts her neck, taking in the sweet scent that surrounded her. "In my world, it has been hundreds of years apart from you," He murmered into her fur, eyes closed with the pleasure his heart was pounding through his veins.
Upon hearing her groan, he stepped back, ears perked in the concern his eyes could not show. "Is everything alright?" He realized once he said this it sounded dumb, but what more could he say? He had no idea what she'd been through sine they'd been seperated. The stories will be saved for later, though, for right now he could feel the weariness washing off her in waves. How had he not realized this before? Feeling selfish he dipped his head to nudge her gently. "We should find a place to relax. I'm afraid my companions and I have been traveling non-stop for days," Although no one was within sight of him now, he could feel his 'companions' sleeping in the distnace.
ooc:: I'm gonna introduce Bure and Yawto laterrr.

“Oh it’s nothing. It’s just that…” She paused for a moment. She really didn’t want to talk about the past, it was too painful. So many wolves were hurt because of what happened. “My powers react negatively to dark magic, ever since the other curse has been lifted” She frowned at her next sentence. “This forest is cursed.” She then nodded at his next words. Rest. Maybe that would help her headache. However she knew it wasn’t really rest she needed, it would help, but the headache would return. She was getting older. She was no longer in the prime of her life.
She tilted her head at the words companions. “Companions?” She asked as she looked around, she saw no one else. She turned her gaze back to Conoly. “You’re not alone?” She asked a bit shocked. She wandered who else he could have been traveling with, though she knew she didn’t know them, she was still curious. She wasn’t entirely on her own, she had her sister, Spirit, but of course they only talked once in a while since any usage of her power seems to causes to drain even more energy from her.

Conoly heard the pain in her voice and nodded his large head. He looked up, ears swiveling. Where could they go? He had not the faintest idea where they were, nor where a safe spot would be to rest. Knowing this did not stress him much, though, for he knew as long as he was with her nothing in the world could go wrong. Well... not yet anyways.
He heard her head nod in a reply to his request for rest and he tilted his head to one side. The movement of a family of rabbits caused his nose to twitch. Anywhere a rabbit chose to live, it would be as safe as he could get. He began to move in that direction, towrds a fallen tree trunk that had a dip beneathe it that was neither wet nor too cool. Perfect, really, to relax for a bit of time.
He remembered the curse she was speaking of, and he suddenly was hit by a wall of memories. His steps faltered and he almost tripped. Grunting he rightened his stance, clearing his throat. Of course the curse had been lifted. How else could Kisha be out of the forest that the Pack had once been bound to? The question of how it was lifted would be saved for another time.
"Yes, my niece and my..." He cleared his throat. Technically, in all fairness, Yawto was his nephew. But the origins of Yawto's parents were kept secret even into the grave of Xendta (Conoly's eldest sister) who was the only one to know. "My son. Adopted, but son," he smiled at the sudden thought of the lagre brute he'd been raising all this time now. Kisha would enjoy him, but his niece... ah, well, he did not doubt Kisha had a kind heart and would accept Bure's stoic ways.

“A niece?” Kisha asked as she followed behind him. “Oh isn’t that lovely.” She said. It must have been better to travel with love ones then being alone, but she wouldn’t complain about what she been through. She was too excited and happy to think such negative thoughts in the first place. “And…a son?” Her voice was low. It had nothing to do with Conoly that her voice held a lost echo upon it, it was the word, son. The thought made her think of her own two sons, they were way old enough to be on their own, most would leave when they were two, but Kisha was close to them and they spent such a long time together…that there was an emptiness within her now that Dasher and Koder was no longer near her. She sighed as she sat down upon the ground. “It seems like we have much to catch up on huh?” She asked trying to push the memories away.

Conoly layed down next to her, his muscles finally contracting and relaxing as he listened to her voice. Even in the empty echo of it, he could still relish in the melody she spoke in. But it was not a momment to smile, despite the pleasure that filled him, and he used his nose to poke her gently on her foreleg.
"Yes, a son. He's a grand thing. Huge as a bear, in fact he might as well be half bear," He chuckled, "But he's as soft hearted as you are. Funiest thing I've ever had the luck of meeting to," his voice died down though as he realized finally what had caused the sudden sadness that breezed off of her.
"What happened... to Koder and Dasher? My memory of them faded with time, but I can never forget how bold they both were. How protective they were of you..." He chuckled. He had loved them too, in a way.

“I’m sure he is a good bye, with a father like you to raise him.” Kisha said with a faint smile. She laid down upon the ground and rested her head upon her paws, she could feel the pain gradually fade as she sighed softly, listening as he spoke. When he spoke their mind she flinched, but she remained calm, letting herself a few moments of silence before she spoke.
“Dasher left, he went out to find Akina, who disappeared we weren’t sure what happened to her. Koder and I left sometime a few weeks after Dasher had left, but we both decided that we should go our separate ways. I know they don’t need their mother around, but I do miss them. Terribly.” She said with a sigh. She knew they were alright, but that was all she could tell that they were alive. She didn’t know where they were or what happened to them. She was worried, like any mother would be.

Conoly listened to her as she spoke, trying to picture her letting them go. How much pain had she been through? He wouldn't know. Of course he wouldn't know. He should have been there for her. She should have never been alone. A sudden burst of rage slammed into his chest, making his breathing shallow as he tried to control the powerful emotion. Now was not the time to feel pity for himself. No, there was no point in it either. What was done happened, and being guilty changed none of it. He'd beg her forgiveness later on.
For now, he moved his body to press againts her side. It was little comfort, this he knew, but it was all he could offer. He wanted to tell her he was sorry he had not been there. He wanted to tell her she should leave him now, he did not deserve her love. But his fault was his selfishness, and he would not say these things from the twinge of fear from losing her.
"How long ago was it since they left? Since Dasher went to find Akina?" He asked, voice gentle and smooth as he relaxed his own head atop his own paws.

“A little over a year ago.” Kisha said with a sigh as she tilted her head upwards and looked at him. “It wasn’t too long after you left.” She said, she remembered as if it was yesterday. She remembered every detail as she said good-bye to her sons. She had only hoped that good luck has shined upon them. She only wanted to see them happy, even if she never saw them again. She pushed herself closer to Conoly, she wanted to close her eyes and pretend that nothing like that never happened that the only thing that mattered was being with him.
“I wasn’t always alone though. I had my sister…but ever since the curse was lifted, I’ve been getting weaker so we couldn’t communicate often.” She said with a sigh. She hated to admit she was getting older, and hated admitting that she knew she didn’t have much longer to live. She probably had a few extra years more then an average wolf because of her powers, but sadly there wasn’t an ounce of blood of immortality running in her veins.
“Though it’s not much of a companionship talking with a dead wolf, huh?” She asked as she smiled softly at him.

Of course. How had he forgotten that simple detail? The only detail that crashed all his happiness down. He'd hide this from her, of course, but it was beyond painful. He was immortal. He had her now, but for how long? He will be there the day she dies, and he shall forever until the world makes it shift and swallows up all life. He shuttered, but he lifted his head and nipped at her ear to fend off his negative thoughts. Not right now, not in the minutes they'd just reunited. Save the lurking doom for later.
"Actually, the dead can be good company," He chuckled darkly. "Tell your sister hello for me next time you two chat, will you?" He smiled, showing he was being playful. "You know what brought me to you?" He asked, his voice soft once more. "It was Child. Child brought me back to reality, and she led me to you." He smiled, "Perhaps there's more to the dead than we really like to know."
Shuttering at the thought of the dead, of the thought of Kisha being dead, he sighed. "You've been through a lot, Kisha. You've always been strong..."

“Ah, Child. I remember her.” She said with a small frown. It was a pity about what happened to the young female, it always pained Kisha to see young ones die at the prime of their life – while others had the luxury of dying when they were ready. “It’s funny that you should say that. Right before I saw you my sister told me that you were here…well in her own words anyway.” She said with a shake of her head at the thought. Her sister always never liked to spit things out, she always did like riddles.
“Well, I’ve had to be.” Kisha said slowly. It was hard sometimes to be strong, if it wasn’t for her sons, she didn’t want to think of where she would be at right now. “For Dasher and Koder. They were so young when their father past away. They’re strong too though; I know they’ll be alright.” She said with a small smile. She didn’t want to think of anything negative, she only wanted to think of this moment with Conoly.

Conoly smiled gently as he listened to her speak. "Well of course they're strong, Kisha. They have your blood in them," He lowered his head down, tail wrapping around hers as he relaxed. In the following silence he listened simply to the faintest sound of her heartbeat, enjoyed the movement of her rib cage next to his as she breathed.
The momment was beautiful, and in the first time since the last day he saw her Conoly finally felt at peace. Finally he lifted his head and opened his mouth. A sudden burst of shyness made him swallow his words and he coughed.
"Um," He said as soon as he regained control of himself. Why was he acting like some teenage adolecent? "Um... Kisha... I have something very important... something, um, extremely important I want to say to you..."

Kisha gently placed her head upon her paws, taking deep slow breaths. Everything felt perfect. Even if things weren’t perfect…she felt happy, happier then she felt in quite a while now. She smiled softly as she looked up at Conoly. He was her everything. He didn’t realize how much it meant to her to have him laying down right beside her, if only this could last forever.
She tilted her head as he spoke. “What? What is it?” She asked in a soft voice, watching him with a curious look. She never had known for him to stutter before, so she remained silently waiting for him to speak.

Conoly stood. What had gotten into him? He sighed, shaking out his coat he took a few steps forward. He could no longer see Bure, and Yawto's distant figure was still where he left him at. He'd have to keep an eye out, because Bure probably got lost.
Finally, he knew he couldn't distract himself any longer. He had to be brave, why for this task he did not understand. How many times in his mind had he played out a scene where he would say this to Kisha? How many times had he acted it out, simply to give him hope to keep moving every day? Why now was it so difficult in person?
Perhaps because he felt these three words could never describe his true emotions he felt.
"Kisha... I love you." He murmered, just loud enough the wind would carry the words to her.
