The russet colored wolf walked quietly until he saw something move. He shifted his weight as he watched a rabbit scamper around, trying to find food. The wolf was quiet, and kept very still. He watched for what seemed like an eternity, and was able to predict the rabbits movements. He took a leap when he knew where it was going, and killed it immediatly. It wasn't much food, but it would have to do.
This wolf was Dragon, and his looks told all. He had dragon like wings, and you would know why he was named Dragon. His three tails lay limp as he ate his rabbit. In only a few bites, it was gone. He stood up, and went to search for more food. He stopped when he heard pawsteps from another wolf. At least, it sounded like a wolf... He turned to where he heard the sound, and waited to see who it was.

Donovan made his way through the darken forest. His dark red eyes glaring in front of him, scaring off any sort of prey there was. He took slow steps, his large paws slamming upon the ground, his razor-sharp claws digging up in the ground. He grinded his teeth together, which were stained with blood from the years. His fur was pithch black, with two large blood red strips upon his back. The fur was thick, which made it perfect for the cold climate, however large peices of hair fell infront of his deadly eyes.
This wasn't his normal look. Donovan was a shapeshifter, this was just one of his many appearences. No one knew what Donovan's real form looked like, or if he even had one at all. In fact little was known about Donovan, even his pack mates knew very little. For he kept his past a secret. Locked away in the pit of his mind. Never to be realsed. He turned his gaze in the direction of another wolf -- obviously a wolf in his pack, otherwise Donovan would have attacked and killed the intruder, a smirk tugged at the edges of his maw as he walked over to him.
He held his body high. His tail raised across his back. He took pride in being the Alpha, and no one would dare get in his way, because even if a member of his pack decided to do something that displeased him, he would kill them. Yet, he was more tolerent with them then anything else. Mostly because he needed them. For reasons unknown.
"Hunting?" He said in a ragged voice, a voice that was deadly cold, hodling no friendliness to it at all as he stared down at the wolf with those deadly eyes.

"What I can find in this place...You are the alpha, huh? A pleasure. I'm Dragon Killdall. You got anything more substantial?" He asked bluntly after his introduction. He could tell this was the alpha easily, but didn't really know what to think about him. He was very large... Much larger than the already large Dragon. He didn't sound kind, but that was expected in this pack. Dragon looked over his form, and winced. He didn't want to pick a fight with this guy, so he was going to try to become an alli.
He had a lot to hide from the alpha. After all, he was in love with a Nozomi wolf. He showed nothing of it, a very fine bluff if I may add. He kept his face straight, and stood tall for the alpha. He watched him carefully, and thought of ways to keep the conversation in his favor. He turned his gaze to a squirell scuttling by. He restrained his stomach from growling, and turned back to the alpha. His face was still normal, and ignored his hunger.

Donovan nodded his head. He wasn't one who liked to have conversations, he liked to keep to himself most of the time. "Donovan Firedeath." He stated in that same icy voice. "Yes, I am the Alpha of this pack and yes yes there is." He said as he turned his gaze away from the other wolf for a moment, before his red eyes glared back to him once again, that smirk still across his maw.
Suddenly without a warning. He changed. His black and red fur disolved into a 15 foot wolf. His black fur was transparent and moved as if it was conected with the shadows. The only thing that didn't change about him was those deadly red eyes. Donovan sat upon the ground, his expression had not changed, and he didn't show the slightest hint in his expression that he even thought about how he just changed from a 5 foot foot to a 15 foot black shadow.
"What business do you have upon these lands?" A growl came from his throat, narrowing his eyes as he glared at this unfamilar wolf. He didn't trust him. Of course the only wolf that Donovan trusted was himself.

Dragon's eyes widened for a short moment when Donovan changed his form. He was quiet, while he was trying to remember how to speak. He wasn't really scared, just intimidated a bit. He swallowed the lump in his throat before speaking. "I would like to join this pack. Is that a roblem? It seems pretty vacant to me..." He stated, and slightly regretted it. He starred into Donovan's cold red eyes; the same eyes as the one when he was 5 feet. Dragon was calm now, he knew that this wolf was trouble, as was pretty much every wolf in this pcak. Dragon kept his green eyes on Donovan, careful not to do anything that would cost his life. He kept his posture, and kept his heartbeat under control.

Dovovan frowned at his words, but shook the irratation away. "Yes, it is vancant here, but..." He said his eyes sharply turning and now glancing at where the border line was to get into the Nozomi Lands. "You see those lands? Let's just say some of the wolves will join us..." He now ran his tongue across his fangs. "Or will be killed. It's their choice." He said as a cold chuckle escaped his maw, as he shook his head.
"You wish to join?" He said as his eyes scanned the wolf, as if dectecting if he was good or not to join his pack. "I suppose you may, but I'm going to keep my eye out on you. I don't like tratiors." He sneered.

Dragon was quiet, and said nothing about the traitor thing. He bowed to the alpha. "Thank you. Now, did you say there was better game about?" He asked, changing the subject casually. He hoped he would shift his form back to normal. Donovan was a bit intimidating, but that is why he would probably keep tht form. He sighed, and stood up, sizing only a meager 4' 12" Or 5 feet. He looked up at Donovan, and waited for a reply.

"Yes, there is. Believe me to fill up a wolf it takes more then a mere rabbit.I'm no fool." Donovan said with a snort then motioned his head in the other direction. "You may be able to find a wandering deer or something of the sort." He stated with a shrug of his shoulders, still staying in that particular 'transformation' which had to be one of his favorites.

"I would like to see you hunt... Would you please show me?" He asked rudely. He tried to behave around this large wolf, and didn't want to set him off on a rampage or something. He quickly saw a deer stop and star at Donovan, obviously scared. Dragon smiled, and looked back to him. "I see you have a fan..." He chuckled, and stood up. He beckoned Donovan to kill it, after he saw another lingering behind the first deer. He growled under his breath, and softly stood up. Both deers were trembling, and that made Dragon laugh to himself.

“You want to see me hunt?” Donovan said with a harsh laugh. “Hunting to me is like picking a berry from a bush.” He stated. He sensed the two deer behind him, however he didn’t worry. Suddenly he melted in with the earth, now all that was known about him was a great shadow that lurked upon the ground, making it’s way toward the two deer. Suddenly he jumped up, smashing his front paw into one of the deer’s head, hitting him so hard, it cracked his neck. The deer tumbled to the ground, dead before contact.
Donovan then wrapped his fangs around the other one and pulled hard, the deer’s head easily came off its body as if was a rag doll. The headless body fell to the ground, blood pouring down. Donovan spat the head out of his mouth and looked over to Dragon.

Dragon smiled. His style of hunting was like a work of art. "Very nice... You use your powers well... You certianly will be more respected by me now that I saw that piece of art." He said, being serious. He didn't know if one of those deer was for him, or if they were both for Donovan. "My hunting would measure up to nothing compared to that..." He said, and searched for another deer to snack upon. He didn't move about, just searched with his eyes. There was no movement in the forest, so obviously, Donovan scared off all the prey.

“Practice makes perfect.” Donovan said with a sneer at the lame saying. He quickly transformed back into the same ‘wolf’ that he had looked when he first met Dragon. He stepped over the two deceased deer; it was quite obvious he wasn’t going to eat them. “One has to know more then how to kill two deer quickly, if they wish to take over an entire land.” He said his eyes going back to the border line. “One day very soon every one of those wolves will either be working for me or will be dead.” He said with that same cold laugh.

Dragon said nothing, and stepped towards the two dead deer. "May I?" He asked, and looked up at the large wolf. He didn't know if he should be lying to Donovan, about the whole Nozomi situation. But he didn't show anything of associating with a Nozomi wolf. He felt as if he was a worthless scavenger, feeding upon another's catch. He didn't want to do it, but there was no other food around. Donovan's reflection was still in Dragon's eyes; meaning his eyes never left his.

Donovan shrugged his shoulders. “Go ahead, I don’t want them.” He said as he sat down upon the ground. He still didn’t trust him, there was something about him that made Donovan uneasy, but he decided to push that away. If he was lying about something, then Donovan would show him no mercy.

Dragon's heart beat picked up as he ate. He could feel Donovan's eyes upon his back, and he knew that Donovan didn't trust him yet. But how could he trust Dragon? He was mating with the enemy, but he was in love... What could he do? "So...," He said between chewing. "How did you change the weather? Its so cold, not saying I don't mind it, but how did you do it?" He asked, finally shoving the large mass of meat down his throat. He was trying to get Donovan to think about other things. He knew that if Donovan ever found out about Yakira, there would be no way to escape his fury. He took another bite of deer, and watched Donovan think.

Donovan smirked at his question. “When you live as long as I do, you begin to learn great magic.” Was all that he said? Donovan was old; however he didn’t look that old. He was born thousands of years ago, he couldn’t even remember his own parents name or really what happened in his early life, however his memory was fresh from when he joined the pack, the pack that was the first pack to ever settle upon the Nozomi Lands, of course it wasn’t called that back then.

"How did you learn said magic?" He asked, trying to get his mind away from the Nozomi pack. He took another large bite from the deer. He chewed slowly, savoring the taste. He knew that this would have to last him for a wohile, and tried to eat it slowly. Eating slowly makes you fuller faster, so he could save the rest once he finished. He could faintly hear the Nozomi wolves chattering on the other side of the border. He thought of Yakira, and smiled.
He remembered he was with Donovan, who was the alpha of a very dangerous pack. The whole reason he was trying to become friends with the alpha was so Yakira had a better chance of being safe. He quickly hid his smile with another bite of deer meat.

Donovan shook his head and snorted. "I will now share that information." He said. He kept his past hidden. He will stop when questions got to far deep into his personal life. Donovan mostly taught himself, but he knew a few 'evil' wolves who had taught him, mostly from his own family, however he never spoken about them before.

"Oh, I understand. I don't blame you for not trustihng anyone. I used to be the same way. But I decided to give other wolves a chance every once and a while." He said. He stopped chewing and looked up at Donovan. Dragon did realize that he was starting to trust him. He blinked a few times when he thought about the dangers that could happen. He can't trust Yakira and Donovan... Could he?[/size]

"You should never trust anyone except for yourself." Donovan told him. "You never know when someone will betray you." He turned his gaze to Dragon, as if he was speaking about him. He remained silent for a moment before he went on. "Sometimes you can't even trust yourself."
